More Zap Productions & Management
From April, 2004 through Jan. 19th, 2006; Michelle Zeitlin spearheaded the Dance & Choreography Department for one of the leading boutique talent agencies in Hollywood, the Bobby Ball Agency. Her division represented 300 clients for film, television, Equity theatre, pop tours, music videos, fashion and commercials.
Her clients included children, teens, adults and even seniors—all professionals in their own right, with exceptional movement skills. She called her department the “triple threat” division since she markets talent with multiple skills—actors/singers/dancers.
Projects were actively pursued, pitched and developed for this multi-faceted and creative division. In a short time, Michelle’s staff had more than tripled monthly revenue, opened alliances with major studios including MTV, Fox and Warner Bros. and secured top projects that were “packaged” for her division exclusively.
Utilizing her twenty year experience in special events, as the founder of More Zap Productions, she formed a busy event department too, with recent corporate accounts for E-3, Samsung/LPGA and the Tournament of Roses Parade.
Prior to becoming an agent, Michelle starred in feature films, on Broadway, worked with recording artists and recorded music herself. She also danced with world famous ballet companies in New York and Russia. Her background in classical dance has given her a great discipline and foundation. Dancing with the Joffrey Ballet Concert Group offered a chance to study and perform under several guest choreographers, with an eclectic repertoire.
When starring in “Dance Macabre,” Michelle worked with the famed Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg and the Maryinsky Theatre—a life long dream come true.
Michelle's choreography credits include the feature releases, "Thank Heaven" with Jenny McCarthy, and "Dance Macabre" with Robert Englund (she also starred in a duel role in that picture). Michelle recently choreographed two shorts—“Unsuitable” and “Mothers Be Good,” both festival awardees. The Disney Dance-along DVD, “Princess Party Jams” was released for retail and Disney Chanel usage, created for the pre-school set, which Michelle knows her two young children will enjoy.
More Zap, which was founded in 1987, has produced, directed, cast and created hundreds of corporate and private special functions, product launches and themed projects; Partnered with major producers and writers to develop film scripts and television concepts. Michelle has consulted for kid's programming and reality shows for Paramount Studios and Sony TV. She also conceived the shows for a major Theme Park in Taiwan, with BRC. With former and current partnerships (including Nancy Gregory, Danial Jerod Brown, Calvin Remsberg, Steve Berkowitz) More Zap created theatrical tour spectacles for concert halls, amphitheaters, and Las Vegas casinos, including Bob Conti's "We Celebrate America," featuring top recording artists and Native American artists.
In 2000, Michelle was awarded a CTFD grant to launch Choreography Central, a “spirit” wing, managing and producing over 50 clinics nationwide for competitive dance, cheerleading and drill teams, as well as NFL and NBA line dance teams. A dozen young, talented choreographers are now staging choreography, mixing music and shooting instructional videos for major markets with "The Winning Combination."
Michelle has been invited to lecture and write for several associations, magazines and newspapers. Her articles and interviews have been published in the Los Angeles Times, Seventeen and Teen Magazine, Dance & Fitness, Readers Digest. She regularly contributes online for Cheer NJ and About.com for dance and cheer news. She has hosted production round tables in the industry and judged for art festivals in Canada, Israel and the U.k.
And now, wrapping around the gamut of experience from pre-production thru production and talent development and booking, Michelle is opening More Zap’s new Talent MANAGEMENT wing. For starters, Michelle has brought on 15 clients that she nurtured and developed at BBA, with multiple talent abilities and pursuits. Her client accounts for Tanqueray, Fanta and Target are active and on-going and that will give a base line for the company. New young talent and experienced pros will be on her roster. Michelle is looking forward to the new opportunities ahead.
